BLUFFING

 New York-based noise pop act BLUFFING were formed in March 2012 by drummer/ vocalist J Boxer and guitarist/ vocalist Olivia Drusin; the original mission statement for the band was never to let a song pass the two minute mark, keeping things concise and catchy. The groups sound was heavy with hooks as it was feedback, and they soon expanded to include guitarist Sammy Weissberg, and they rotated between bassists Charlie Dy and Madeline Black. Their debut album, ‘Sugar Coated Pills of Wisdom’, was recorded at Brooklyn DIY venue Silent Barns studio wing; Future ’86. The LP was met with equal parts acclaim, levity and light.
